One key design objective for the ACCE is to inject a new identity to the decades-old Queen Elizabeth Hospital in its existing campus while meeting the needs of future development and providing quality medical services to the community. Easily accessible by public transport, the new 11-storey ACCE re-provides outpatient/day hospital facilities for 7 clinical departments, with supporting accommodation and an advanced Linear Accelerator Suite for more effective treatment to oncology patients. The project has obtained several design awards including those from Quality Building Award and ArchSD Annual Award.
