With a total planned capacity of around 2,400 in-patient and day beds, and 37 operation theatres, the Kai Tak Hospital (KTH) will be a new major acute general hospital ad a designated "Trauma Centre" in Central Kowloon providing a comprehensive range of acute hospital services including Accident & Emergency services with helipad support and enhanced neuroscience services, with modern service models, technology and facilities. It will have a designated trauma centre and an oncology centre. Further, KTH will accommodate in-patient, out-patient and ambulatory services, and provide services to support the adjacent Hong Kong Children’s Hospital (HKCH).
