The Phase 1 podium of Kerry Everbright City, which was completed in 1997, serves as the pulsating heart of the dynamic Everbright City commercial district. Alongside Phase 2 and Phase 3, both masterfully designed by Wong Tung, it forms an integral part of this thriving urban hub. Through an impressive transformation of a four-storey enclosed department store, into a “THE LIGHTBOX” for Work, Eat, and Play, incorporating ample daylight and green elements, has evolved into an avant-garde fusion of office and commercial spaces, heralding a new era where boundaries between different business formats dissolve, fostering a symbiotic interplay that ignites inspiration in both commerce and work.

Guided by the principle of integration, the redesign introduces shared activity spaces and intricate elevated gardens, artfully created through strategic area displacement. This ingenious approach seamlessly unifies the functionality of the building's interior spaces with the fluidity of its façade. The result is a harmonious fusion that not only exemplifies the seamless integration of diverse functions but also unlocks the full potential for a well-balanced urban lifestyle and work environment.
