The Emerald City

With the aim to cultivate a more self-reliant community, Emerald City includes a large-scale shopping mall, a supermarket, F&B outlets, hotels, offices, a cinema complex and a serviced apartment tower. The design took cue from the site context (urban forms, traffic patterns and view corridors etc.) to create a built form with optimal experience for the users. Courtyards are also integrated into the mall design to enhance a sense of place and identity. Both saleable and leasable spaces are included in the development to ensure a sustainable business model on the one hand and better control of life-cycle cost on the other.
